Think about this - Why weren't you offered the better price in the first place? Price matching may on the face of it look like a great way to save a few pounds but in fact you are being played by chancers who want to charge as much as they can - unless of course you catch them at it! Providing you do all the work comparing prices they will happily drop their price IF you happen to find a better deal. What a bargain! Do you want really want to do business with somebody who was trying to pick your pocket only a moment ago? There is no excuse. Businesses know exactly what they should charge. Price matching is a lazy and cynical attempt to get another go at your money having been caught overcharging. You can tell a lot about the company with whom you do business simply by observing whether they really care about you as a customer, or whether you simply represent a sale.
