Macerators and small bore waste water pumps |
Add a Cloakroom almost anywhere in your home.The Grundfos Sololift + WC1 sits unobtrusively behind your WC pan and can accept waste from the toilet and a basin. A 240v supply (in accordance with IEE Regulations) is required to power the unit. The WC pan spigot feeds directly into the unit whilst provision is made for an inlet from a sink making the WC1 model ideal for the addition of a cloakroom almost anywhere. The unit activates automatically as it detects water entering its housing. So as you wash your hands, empty your sink or flush the toilet the macerator and pump energise to dispose of the waste. It's that simple. There's no need to remember switching the unit on, or need to energise the unit manually because it sits ready for action in standby mode until required. When called to activate the macerator ensures any solids are reduced to a size that can be pumped through small bore pipe to a convenient drain or soil stack. Small bore pipe (only 40mm dia) is far easier to run than standard size soil pipe that measures in excess of 100mm (4"). By utilising a strap-on boss the end of the small bore run can terminate to a convenient position on any existing soil pipe. The Sololift + range of macerator pumps have the ability to pump waste up to 100 metres horizontally and/or lift the waste outflow up to 5 metres (or a lesser combination of both). This is particularly useful when a straight horizontal run is simply impossible. |
